Political Jeapordy

I'll take Congressional Hearings for $500 please...
The answer is Joseph Lieberman
The only democrat not asking for Donald Rumsfeld's resignation.
Oooooooooooo, sorry, all answers need to be in the form of a question.
Oh, come on Alex! Like there's any question...

Anybody else think they would have given hecklers that much air-time if it was a Democrat testifying?

Ok, let's get down to brass tacks.

A few people did something that is completely idiotic and a violation of multiple laws and regulations.
Due to the circumstances of this occurrence, the facts of the situation were not immediately evident to the general public.
The idiocy of the act is manifest, given the outcome once the facts became widely disseminated.
The legality of the situation is the purview of courts of law.
The fourth estate is, as always, merely fulfilling the public's 'right to know'.

Oh, by the way, I'm not talking about Abu Ghraib Prison. No, I have in mind something that happened many years ago. Many 'early' Baby-Boomers are personified by the presumed Democratic Candidate. Either in his service in Vietnam or in his protests of that same war upon his return. I am a 'late' boomer, having come into the world 10 years, 2 months and 5 days after VJ day. Have an idea of what I am describing? It's right here, just scroll to the bottom. (I especially like this link, Boomer time-frame, Boomer issues...)

The Watershed event of American Presidential Politics.

As self-indulgent as my generation can be, this really has changed forever the way we treat the Office of the President.

And every news executive in the land got into the 'biz because of it. As did every Democratic politician at the Federal level. They may claim otherwise, but deep in their heart of hearts...
Hell, even the Republicans got into politics with it in mind.

And that, my friends, is why we are where we are. Just as many call the Iraq War Bush's Vietnam, so too, the media thinks this is his Watergate. Their Watergate.

And the Democrats, frantic to regain power are smelling blood in the water. They are willing to say anything to see that accomplished.

Apparently, a military investigation is now synonymous with a cover-up.

These same politicians and bureaucrats will stand before cameras with straight faces and claim Iraq was better off under Saddam.

Hint: There was a protest outside the prison yesterday. Kindly show me the Saddam-era footage of a similar gathering and we'll talk...

But I repeat myself.

I have so much more I feel like saying, but that will have to wait.
I just feel like screaming...

I will say this. There is a reason we are in this situation. If we repeat that behavior, what result should we expect?

There are people who want to kill you. Sitting down together and singing KUM BY YA ain't gonna cut it. This is a war, whether we realize it or not. (We didn't, I'm not sure all of us do, even now...)

It comes to this, do we really think that Life, Liberty and Property are right for everyone, or we do we take our hypocritical ball and go home?

One thing is for sure, it ain't gonna be easy.
