My new glasses

Picked up my new specks this morning. Through the wonders of modern technology, these are by far the smallest lenses I have ever had, and, when you consider they are tri-focals they would have been impossible only a few years ago. (For all I know, they may have come online with this technology since my last major upgrade two years ago...) I envision the optical equivalent of the machine my Cousin-in-law Ed uses to make machinery. There are camera lenses available now that were unheard of when I first took up serious photography back in college. A far cry from what the founders of the science and craft of optics would have even dreamed of, and these were some pretty big dreamers!

Of course, right now these same new lenses are making me nauseous and giving me a headache... ;-)

I think it will be worth it. I think I look pretty good, if I do say so myself.

And with the custom clip-on sunglasses, I feel like John Lennon. (Except for the political thing. And the fact that John never wore his hair this short his adult life. And he never weighed this much...)

Ok, then, how about Elton John. (Of course, there's still the political thing. And the sexual orientation thing...)

OK, OK! But they look cool, alright? ;-)
