The Democratic National Committee

 

The same article (http://www.sltrib.com/nationworld/ci_2464265) quotes Donna Brazile and mentions she is a member of the Democratic National Committee.

 

The 400-plus member Democratic National Committee.

 

Now, I have no idea of the size of the Republican National Committee.

 

I will state outright that I would never consider the word committee to describe a group of over 20 people, let alone over 400.

 

I can only image how Roberts Rules of Order work with 400-plus members as fractionalized as the present-day Democratic Party…

 

There is an old joke in the computer industry:  (Apologies to any COBOL programmers out there…)

COBOL is a language designed by committee.

Definition of a camel:  A horse designed by committee…
